Durham Kennel Club (DKC), in cooperation with the Carolina Freestyle Guild, offers a two hour drop-in CanineFreestyle DogWork Class at the DKC Building one Saturday a month, beginning at ten am. The cost is $15 for each class. The DKC classes will be aimed toward newcomers who have not shown in Freestyle before. However, experienced handlers do participate and there will be time after class for practicing and run-throughs. If you are interested in attending, contact Dee Wallis, Deewallis@aol.com , Shari Bryant, lunar61@aol.com, or Trish Koontz, pbkoontz@earthlink.net for more information. We welcome newcomers and visitors!

The DKC Freestyle Classes are planned for the following dates in 2019 (Saturday afternoons 2pm-4pm): May 25 at Dogtown*; June 22 at Durham Kennel Club; July 20 at Dogtown; Aug. 10 at Dogtown; Sept. 7 at Durham Kennel Club; Oct. 5 at Durham Kennel Club; and Nov. TBA. Send an e-mail to deewallis@aol.com if you are interested in being on the list to receive notices and reminders. (*Dogtown, 2846 Rob Shepard Dr., Burlington, NC 27215, (336)570-1144.)

In addition, we schedule DKC member work time to use the building for Freestyle practice; we set up a freestyle ring, with a sound system and have mentors available for cooperative training. Those times will be posted on the DKC Calendar and e-mails will be sent to DKC members on our regular mailing list.
